A Voluntary Lay Ministry committed to Building Up the Faith In Catholic Teenagers
Jesus 4 Real is a non-profit, voluntary lay ministry that has been committed to building up the faith in Catholic teenagers for 31 years and has influenced over 2,500 lives. Our aim has been to evangelise, encourage, and support teenage faith - in an environment of friendship, encouragement and fun!
(These are opportunities for participants to “advance” in the development of their faith life, and to learn how to experience the reality of Jesus and the Holy Spirit in their daily Catholic lives.)
From time to time – usually as a result of requests from parents of campers - the Organisational Team (“Elisha Team”), which includes Father Kevin Connors PhD., holds a weekend Retreat. These provide an opportunity for Parents of campers and Young Adults who have not attended a Jesus 4 Real camp to come and experience a taste of why these camps have been so powerfully instrumental in the lives of those who have attended.
The Retreat programme is an abbreviated version of what the teens experience at camp, and includes Reconciliation, daily Mass, lots of songs, food and fellowship, teaching sessions on the Holy Spirit, and opportunities for a commitment or recommitment to Jesus. The programme also includes Eucharistic Adoration, opportunities to receive prayer from Prayer Teams, and much, much more.
